Alanna and her twin bother Thom don&#039;t want the lives their father has picked for them. He wishes to send Alanna to the City of the Gods to learn to be a lady and Thom to the capital to train as a Knight. However Alanna wants to be a Knight and Thom a mage. So the twins switch places. It is forbidden for girls to train to be knights so Alanna must hide her sex for 8 long year while she trains, first as a page and them as a squire. &lt;br /&gt;
