&lt;div&gt;Aliette de Bodard is a half-Vietnamese, half-French writer of fantasy and science fiction. She lives in Paris, France. Her stories have been published or are forthcoming in Interzone, Black Static, and The Year&#039;s Best Science Fiction. She was a Writers of the Future winner in 2006, and is a Campbell Award nominee for 2009. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Much of her work makes use of mythology and history--especially of non-Western cultures. &lt;br /&gt;
