&#039;&#039;&#039;Frances Hodgson Burnett&#039;&#039;&#039; was a writer best known for several of her children&#039;s novels (e.g., &#039;&#039;The Secret Garden&#039;&#039;, &#039;&#039;A Little Princess&#039;&#039;, and &#039;&#039;Little Lord Fauntleroy&#039;&#039;). Her spiritualist beliefs were incorporated into her novella, &#039;&#039;[[The White People (novella)|The White People]]&#039;&#039;. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Burnett was the name of her first husband, whom she married in 1873 and divorced in 1898. She remarried in 1900; that marriage ended in 1902. &lt;br /&gt;
