&lt;br /&gt;
Born Edith Ellen Foster to John Nathaniel Foster and Frances Mary Wedd at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire on 27 July 1852.  Edith married Thomas George Cuthell at Sandy, Bedfordshire on 1 Jan 1873 and died 31 Jan 1929 at Sloane Square, London.&lt;br /&gt;
Thomas G Cuthell was an army officer and was stationed in India for a number of years. Edith travelled there also with her husband and thus was able to write many childrens books on the subject of life in India.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
