* Canon - A set of works agreed by a group of people to represent something. &amp;quot;The Canon&amp;quot; often refers to the set of Greek, Roman, and English literature that self-appointed arbiters of quality and influence deemed to be the most influential in Western civilization and &amp;quot;best&amp;quot;. The plural, &amp;quot;canons&amp;quot; describes a multiplicity of canons. &lt;br /&gt;
