'''Deb Geisler''' has been active in running science fiction conventions since 1989. Born in 1957, she is an Ohio native who moved to Massachusetts in 1984. Her first convention (as an attendee) was later that same year, when her now-husband [[Mike Benveniste]] introduced her to fandom. Her hero in convention-running is Noreascon II Chairman [[Leslie Turek]]. Geisler is a university professor at [http://www.suffolk.edu Suffolk University] in Boston, Massachusetts, where she teaches special events management courses.
