<p>Saw this last night...</p> <p><b>New page</b></p><div>&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;Himmelskibet&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039; (1918) is a [[silent film|silent]], black-and-white Danish science-fiction film.<br /> <br /> It was filmed during World War I, in which Denmark was a neutral country, and it advocates [[pacifism]].<br /> <br /> The story follows a party of [[human]] [[men]] who build a spaceship and travel to [[Mars]], where they encounter a pacifist, [[vegetarian]] civilization.<br /> <br /> There are two female characters in the movie:<br /> * Corona Planetaros (Zanny Petersen), sister to one of the explorers and fiancée to another, who waits on Earth along with her father, an astronomer, and defies the skeptical Professor Dubius<br /> * Marya (Lilly Jacobson), daughter of the (male) Martian leader.
