Dick]].

== Overview ==
{{spoiler}}
The film was set in the future in the United States. It starred Tom Cruise as a police officer from a special task force charged with arresting criminals before they could commit their crimes, based on the predictions of three precognitive individuals.

The most senstive of the three precogs, Agatha (Samantha Morton), sets a plan in motion to free herself and her two male companions from the scientists and politicians who have enslaved them for their gifts, which eventually leads to the downfall of the Pre-Crime Department, via Anderton's (Tom Cruise's) character, who carries the bulk of the action of the movie, and who also has the nigh-obligatory father/son relationship issues so often seen in male heroes.
