*Welcome to Bordertown, because I think people like Bordertown and there is buzz around its long-awaited return<br />
*Children of the Sky, because the establishment luuurves Vernor Vinge<br />
*George R. R. Martin's latest Song of Ice and Fire book, because the last one or two have been nominated and there's the TV show drawing interest<br />

If I were to suggest some things, Charlie Jane Anders's novelette "Six Months, Three Days" is quite good and got a good response at tor.com.<br />
