Starbuck (callsign; full name Kara Thrace) is a hotshot Viper pilot and Galactica's "top gun" on Battlestar Galactica (2004).

Backlash

In the 1978 version of Battlestar Galactica, Starbuck was played by a male actor, who was very upset that "his" character was being reenvisioned; he couldn't imagine how the character could be female. [1]
