Wicked (Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West) is a novel by Gregory Maguire, also made into a musical. It is based on The Wizard of Oz book and film, and was followed by a sequel, Son of a Witch.
The story retells The Wizard of Oz from the perspective of the Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba).
