Urania's Daughters: A Checklist of Women Science Fiction Writers, 1692-1982 is a compilation by Roger C. Schlobin.
Scope: "The works cited have been restricted to science-fiction, book-length, English-language novels, collections, and anthologies published from 1682 to 1982." ... "[L]ists over [375] authors and over [830] titles, making it the largest checklist of women's science fiction to date."
"I must offer my apologies to those authors whose initials defied my research and remained neuter. I am also sure that after puzzling and searching long and hard among the Leslie's, Lindsay's, Vivian's, Pat's, Lee's, Carmen's, Robin's, Evelyn's, and other gender-difficult names that I have omitted authors who should have been here and included a few that should not have been."
