The Science Fiction Research Association (or SFRA) is a professional organization for the study of SF literature and film.

- Awards: Pilgrim Award (est. 1970); Pioneer Award (est. 1990 to best critical essay-length work); Clareson Award (est. 1996 for teaching/leadership/editing/etc.); SFRA Graduate Student Paper Award (est. 1999); and the Mary Kay Bray Award (est. 2002 for the best essay, interview or extended review to appear in SFRA Review in a given year).
