Cynthia McQuillin was a fan and popular filk musician. She was inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 1998, and was nominated for numerous Pegasus Awards. She sang for many years with Jane Robinson.

She was also a model for and a supporter of Women En Large:Images of Fat Nudes, the photography book by Laurie Toby Edison.

She died in 2006.
