Mary Robinette Kowal is a science fiction and fantasy writer, and an art director. She is also a puppeteer and voice actor. Currently, she serves as the art director of Weird Tales. She was the Secretary of SFWA from 2008 to 2010, and is currently the organization's Vice-President. She was the winner of the 2008 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.
