Early publisher of Ursula K. Le Guin, Sonya Dorman's fiction, and other writers, as editor of Amazing Stories and Fantastic from 1958 to 1965. As Cele Goldsmith, she was the first woman to receive a Hugo Award for individual work; she received a "Special Award" in 1962 for editing Amazing and Fantastic. She changed her name from "Goldsmith" to "Lalli" on her marriage.
