- The article about this character is a STUB, meaning it is tiny and needs lots of work. Help flesh it out.
Liz Shaw, whose full name and title is Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, is a character from Doctor Who who was played by Caroline John.
Dr. Shaw was a companion to the Third Doctor in 1970. Her character was that of an overqualified scientist stuck playing the assistant to U.N.I.T.'s excentric alien advisor. She was replaced in the next season by Jo Grant.
She also appeared briefly in the 1983, 20th anniversary special, "The Five Doctors".
Caroline John reprised the role of Liz Shaw in the straight-to-video, unofficial Doctor Who spin-off series, P.R.O.B.E..
