After the miniseries, Boomer's memories diverge. The original Boomer from the miniseries returns to her ship (Battlestar Galactica) for the first season, carrying out missions for the humans and missions as a sleeper agent for the cylons. However, the audience understands that Boomer is a clown at the end of the miniseries when they see another version of Boomer. This Boomer is tormented by thoughts that she might be a Cylon, triggered by finding herself in suspicious circumstances after doing missions as a sleeper agent for the Cylons. At the end of Season 1, after an important mission, she shoots Adama and is imprisoned for much of Season 2.

Meanwhile, a second important Boomer character appears on Cylon-occupied planet Caprica, where "Helo", her fellow lieutenant and raptor-crewmember, was stranded at his own request. While this Boomer has all the memories through, apparently, the miniseries, she is aware that she is a Cylon, and is under a mission to have a love relationship with Helo. The two fall in love, and she becomes pregnant--a first for the Cylons.  They eventually escape the planet and return to the Battlestar.

The Boomer clones (cylon clone model Number Eight) are a series of characters played by Grace Park on Battlestar Galactica, the 2004+ TV series.
