Ways of categorizing & organizating works
Books should include at least two categories: One for year of publication (e.g., Category:2006 publications) and one for type of work (e.g., Category:Novels, Category:Short stories, Category:Operas, Category:Films). Fictional books should also include a genre category (e.g., Category:Works of science fiction, Category:Historical fantasy works, etc.)
* Fictionality: fiction/nonfiction/hybrids (e.g., dramatization)
* Mode: Poetry, prose
* School: e.g., New Wave, Golden Age, Cyberpunk
* Time: year, era
* Language of publication
* Audience: YA, kids
* Recognition: Awards won/nominated, best-selling, influence
* Genre (fantasy, sf)
* Plot-genre (mystery, romance, adventure)
* Sub-genre
* Singularity/collectivity: singular work, collective work (collection or anthology), serial (series of individual works, series of interconnected works, series of one story)
* Continuity/universe: same continuity, re-envisioned versions of it, alternate versions of it (as in fanfic, Battlestar Galactica 2004)
