Pilot is a fictional character in Farscape, and also, more generally, the name of the species of that character, since their language is so complex that it defeats the translator microbes various species use to communicate in the series.
They are portrayed by animatronics, and the part of Moya's Pilot is voiced by Lani Tupu.
The Character
Pilot is symbiotically joined to Moya, and serves as her intermediary to the crew.
He wanted to see the stars.
Pilot's species
Pilot's species are unable to travel the stars by themselves. Their only option is to join with a Leviathan and become, well, pilots, a position which only a few of them can attain.
Other Pilots have appeared the episodes "The Way We Weren't", "Eat Me" and "Crichton Kicks".
