Clare Winger Harris (1891-1968) was the author of "The Fate of Posedonia" (June 1927 Amazing Stories; it also appears in Justine Larbalestier's anthology Daughters of Earth: Feminist Science Fiction in the 20th Cebtury with a critical essay.) Her writing flourished during the 1920's-30's and her work is collected in the anthology Away from the Here and Now (1974). She also wrote Persephone of Eleusis: A Romance of Ancient Greece.
