In general writers should be defined by a (sub-)genre only if it is the only genre in which they write, or if they define themselves by writing in that genre. For instance, a writer who writes both fantasy and science fiction should just get Category:Writers, not Category:Science fiction writers, Category:Fantasy writers, and Category:Writers. However, if the writer explicitly only writes fantasy, then they should get Category:Fantasy writers and Category:Writers. All writers should get Category:Writers regardless of any sub-genre categorization.
