List of Doctor Who serials. The episodes of the original (1963-1989) series followed a serialised format, in which stories took place over several episodes, often with cliffhanger endings.
Although early adventures had individual titles for each episode, the stories taking place over more than one episode eventually came to have only one title, with each individual episode being referred to by a number (part 1, part 2, etc.).
Instead of listing individual episodes, this list regroups stories by serial title. (Seasons 16 and 23 had over-arching titles covering multiple serials.)
Serials in bold were written, co-written or directed by women, as indicated. There aren't many of them. The first 19 serials were produced by Verity Lambert.
