Toshiko Sato is a fictional character from the television series Torchwood, who works at the Cardiff division of the Torchwood Institute. Her specialty is computers. She may or may not be the same character who appeared in the Doctor Who episode "Aliens of London" as a Doctor Sato, played by the same actress.
Toshiko Sato is played by Naoko Mori.
Torchwood Cardiff has a small number of personnel, all of whom are dysfunctional. She is the best of them.
Also, she has an alien scanning device that lets her transfer the text of a hardcopy book to a computer in a matter of seconds. The author of this article envies her for that device.
