The Screwfly Solution is a 2006 made-for-television film adaptation of the short story by Alice Sheldon. The film is part of the Masters of Horror series by Showtime.

Although the Nebula Award-winning short story "The Screwfly Solution" was published under the Raccoona Sheldon pseudonym, the adaptation's credit goes to James Tiptree, Jr., Alice Sheldon's better-known, male pseudonym.

Cast and crew

Directed by Joe Dante, starring Jason Priestley, Elliott Gould, and Kerry Norton; other cast includes Linda Darlow, William S. Taylor, Don House, Nels Lennarson, Steve Makaj, J. Winston Carroll, Tara Leigh, and Bill Mackenzie
