Thea von Harbou (December 27, 1888 - July 1, 1954) was a writer and actor, best known for writing the screenplay for Metropolis. The revolutionary socialism celebrated in Metropolis was replaced by an authoritarian socialism, and she joined the Nazi Party in 1932, working on films for the Nazis.
