2002 television series created by Joss Whedon. Followed by a comic book, Serenity: Those Left Behind, and a film, Serenity.

Regular characters include:

  • Malcolm Reynolds, ship's captain (played by Nathan Fillion)
  • Inara Serra, Companion (played by Morena Baccarin)
  • Zoe Alleyne, first mate (played by Gina Torres)
  • Hoban Washburne, pilot (played by Alan Yudyk)
  • Jayne Cobb, mercenary/security (played by Adam Baldwin)
  • Kaylee Frye, ship's engineer (played by Jewel Staite)
  • Dr. Simon Tam, ship's doctor (played by Sean Maher)
