The "Joss Whedon is a rapist" Internet drama in early 2008. It began with a self-proclaimed radical feminist, allecto, who did a close reading of the first episode of Firefly. From this, she concluded that Joss Whedon was sexist, a likely porn consumer, and probably coerced his wife into sex. The Internet erupted into a frenzy, mostly attacking allecto, her analysis, and in particular her characterization of Whedon.
