Élisabeth Vonarburg was born in France in 1947, and has lived in Canada for many years.
She's written several novels:
- Le Silence de la Cité (1981), translated as The Silent City.
- Chroniques du Pays des Mères (1992), translated as In the Mothers' Land and The Maerlande Chronicles.
- Les Voyageurs malgré eux (1992), translated as Reluctant Voyagers.
- Tyranaël Books 1-5 (1996-1997), two first books translated as Dreams of the Sea and A Game of Perfection ; others forthcoming.
- Reine de Mémoire Books 1-5 (2005-2007)
- Histoire de la Princesse et du Dragon (1990) Children's fiction
