List of Xena episodes

A repeating episode, a la "Groundhog Day", "Monday (X-Files episode)", and "Life Serial (Buffy episode which mocked the repeating action format). Xena has to figure out — and solve — what's going wrong in a little village to make a day keep repeating itself.

Xena-Gabrielle relationship

  • Gabrielle cuddling into Xena to go to sleep -- a very intimate caress.
  • Xena's great joy when she wakes up and Gabrielle is alive.
  • Xena playing with the coconuts over Gabrielle's chest.
  • Joxer says "Is that a hickey?" to Xena about her neck; X & G look a little abashed; X takes G's arm and they both look away without answering.

Dialog notes

G: Joxer, sometimes it's just best to do what Xena says. She'll explain later. (You'll explain later, right? (to Xena))

Disclaimer

"The rooster was not harmed during the production of this motion picture, although is feathers were severely ruffled. However, a little gel and mousse straightened out the mess.

Intertextuality

A repeating episode, a la "Groundhog Day". DVD commentary explicitly mentioned Groundhog Day multiple times. However, this SFnal plot device has been used many other times as well. See, e.g., "Monday (X-Files episode)", and "Life Serial (Buffy episode which mocked the repeating action format).
