Esther M. Friesner (variant name Esther Mona Friesner-Stutzman) is an American SF writer best known for her comedic writing, including the edited series of anthologies "Chicks in Chainmail". She has also written a serious duology, The Psalms of Herod and The Sword of Mary, which depict a grim dystopic theocracy.
