Xena is helped by Darius, a farmer from a community of pacifists. Although she helps to defend them, they are mistrustful of her warrior ways. Meanwhile, Gabrielle encounters a warrior in the nearby village. Together, she and Xena uncover the lies that have led to this warrior's people preying on the peaceful villagers, and help establish a peace treaty between them.
