Angélica Gorodischer (Buenos Aires, 1929) is the most important Argentinian SF writer, known for her feminist SF stories. She is best known in the US for Kalpa Imperial (1983; Eng. translation 2003 by Ursula K. Le Guin), a collection of short stories of an imaginary empire. Her short stories have been repeatedly published in dozens of anthologies. She has also written mainstream literature.
