Born Edith Ellen Foster to John Nathaniel Foster and Frances Mary Wedd at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire on 27 July 1852.  Edith married Thomas George Cuthell at Sandy, Bedfordshire on 1 Jan 1873 and died 31 Jan 1929 at Sloane Square, London.

Thomas G Cuthell was an army officer and was stationed in India for a number of years. Edith travelled there also with her husband and thus was able to write many childrens books on the subject of life in India.

Born Edith Ellen Foster to John Nathaniel Foster and Frances Mary Wedd at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire on 27 July 1852. Edith married Thomas George Cuthell at Sandy, Bedfordshire on 1 Jan 1873 and died 31 Jan 1929 at Sloane Square, London.
