Shadow Man is a 1995 novel by Melissa Scott.
Shadow Man takes place in a far future where the human species has mutated into five stable sexes, on a world which recognizes only the traditional two, offering clear parallels to today's LGBT civil rights movement.
Tied with Slow River by Nicola Griffith for 1996 Lambda Award.
