A dark gothic fantasy novel by Elizabeth Hand. A different take on the secret society of godess worshippers: Here, the secret society (the Benandanti) guards against the return of the Moon Goddess — the Goddess in her destroyer incarnation. Two old college chums (Sweeney Cassidy and Angelica Furiano) duke it out to save the world.
