Humans in SF

On the science-fiction side of things, humans kind of fit the above definition, although there are alternate-universe stories in which has evolved differently, or far-future stories in which the definition must be re-examined in light of genetic drift, etc.

On the fantasy side of things, there are many stories wherein humans were invented by deities, or came about magically, or exist according to uncanny principles and beyond the laws of physics. And so on.
