Modern Daughters and the Outlaw West is a magical realist ghost story western, by Melissa Kwasny.

In Modern Daughters, a small Wyoming town is infested with quirky lesbians, ghosts, and politics. This book is nuanced & real, with people who have problems. No ideal lesbian community here! If you like this novel, try Carol Guess' Switch (1998).
