Chloe Sullivan. Surely the most interesting female character on Smallville (TV series)? Played by Allison Mack.

Chloe has been a reporter from the very beginning of the series, and long before either Clark Kent or Lois Lane ever showed any serious journalistic inclination in said series.

When Veronica Mars (TV series) debuted, the character who sprang to mind as a comparison to the lead was not so much Buffy Summers as Chloe Sullivan.
