Fairy Godmother Award

The Fairy Godmother Award is a special award made by the James Tiptree, Jr. Award Literary Award council.

This is a special award in honor of Angela Carter. Described as a "mini, mini, mini, mini MacArthur award," the Fairy Godmother strikes without warning, providing a small grant to someone doing work in areas of interest to the Tiptree Award.

Not to be confused with various Fairy Godmother Awards in other fields.
