I would say something about the gothic quality I've seen attributed to Gowdy's "mainstream" fiction, but I don't have the necessary frame of reference for that genre. Southern Ontario Gothic, apparently. (I'm not in Ontario, either.) --Ide Cyan 00:42, 12 May 2007 (PDT)
