Larry Niven
Larry Niven is a SF writer best known for his "Ringworld series" (the "Known Space universe").
He is commonly regarded as a "hard science fiction" writer, although his Ringworld series includes FTL travel, psychic powers, and extraterrestrial origins for humans.
He has been subject to criticism for sexism in his books, including sexist portrayal of female characters in his books, and other issues relating to gender.
