Aliette de Bodard is a half-Vietnamese, half-French writer of fantasy and science fiction. She lives in Paris, France. Her stories have been published or are forthcoming in Interzone, Black Static, and The Year's Best Science Fiction. She was a Writers of the Future winner in 2006, and is a Campbell Award nominee for 2009.

Much of her work makes use of mythology and history--especially of non-Western cultures.
