Scholars
Scholars are people who study, think, research, and write about Feminist SF Studies or material relevant to feminist sf studies, such as gender studies, queer theory, literary criticism, etc.
The critical distinction between a scholar and a non-scholar is that the scholar adds analysis to their consumption of material. Whether it is reviewing material, comparing one item to another, compiling and collating, criticizing, contextualizing, or otherwise, some analytic approach is employed.
Classically, scholars are interested in expanding their understanding of the field of their interest; they are therefore often to be found publishing their scholarship, to make it available for criticism and correspondence, and to add to the body of knowledge on the subject.
If you are interested in being included as a scholar in this wiki, please simply add yourself. Start by using the SEARCH below to see if you're already included; spell your name the way you would want it to be spelled (with capitalization, initials, and so on) -- and click GO. If you're not listed, then create the page for yourself. Be sure to include [[Category:Scholars|YourSurname]] at the bottom -- this will add you to the scholars index. Then click SAVE PAGE at the bottom of the page, and you're done!
You will probably want to include your name, contact information (try spelling out the @ sign as at to avoid spam), any academic positions or affiliations you have (but don't worry if you don't have any--historically all scholars were "amateurs"), and list your research interests and projects, and what levels of feedback / correspondence you're interested in.
An index of scholars on the fsfwiki is available at Category:Scholars.
