  • 1850 first National Women's Rights Convention in US
  • 1869 National Women Suffrage Association (Susan B. Anthony & Elizabeth Cady Stanton); American Woman Suffrage Association (Lucy Stone, Henry Blackwell, etc.)
  • 1890 (NWSA & AWSA merge to NAWSA)
  • 1896 National Association of Colored Women formed
