Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, and Amarice travel to a Western-style town known for its hot baths. There, they run into Xena's old friend, Talia, who is having trouble with her ex (Darcon); Arman, last seen in episode, who is interesting to Amarice; Gabby is having trouble with Joxer's calf-eyes; and Xena's having trouble of a different sort.
Notes
Amarice is initially happy when Arman gives her flowers, but he quickly puts his foot in his mouth when explaining them to her:
- Am: "For me? Wow-- nobody's ever given me anything like this before."
- Ar: "I'm surprised. You deserve them."
- Am: "I do?"
- Ar: "And more. You deserve someone who'll really appreciate you. A man who'll protect and pamper you." (When he says "protect you" she starts to get irritated)
- Am: "A man to protect me." (with growing irritation)
- Ar: "Make sure you never have to worry-- or be scared-- "
- Am: "You think I'm scared of you?"
- Ar: "No, no-- that's not what I said."
- Am: "That's what you meant!"
- Ar: "No, it isn't."
- Am: "You calling me a liar?"
