Animal Farm is George Orwell's satirical allegory of Stalinist-era Soviet Union, and a critique of the corruption of socialist values that Orwell saw in the Soviet Union. That corruption is famously summed up in the phrase "All Animals Are Equal, But Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others" — a slogan which replaced earlier idealistic slogans, including "All Animals Are Equal."

Animal Farm has been made into a number of films, and has been parodied in Anarchist Farm by Jane Doe.
