Catherine Lucille Moore (January 24, 1911–April 4, 1987), prolific American SF and fantasy writer.

Creator of Jirel of Joiry and of Northwest Smith.

Names

C. L. Moore also wrote SF under different pen names, such as Lewis Padgett and Lawrence O'Donnell (for her collaborations with Henry Kuttner).
