Angélica Gorodischer

Angélica Gorodischer (Buenos Aires, 1928) is the most important Argentinian SF writer, known for her feminist SF stories. She is best known in the US for Kalpa Imperial (1983; Eng. translation 2003 by Ursula K. Le Guin), a collection of short stories of an imaginary empire. Her short stories have been repeatedly published in dozens of anthologies. She has also written mainstream literature.

Considered one of the three most important SF women writers in the Spanish world, together with Daína Chaviano (from Cuba), who lives in US, and Elia Barceló (Spain), who lives in Austria, with whom comprises the so-called "feminine triad in American-Spanish SF".

She currently lives in Rosario, Argentina.
