Suzette Haden Elgin
Suzette Haden Elgin (born Patricia Anne Suzette Haden Wilkins) is a linguist, SF writer, and artist.
Creator of the Coyote Jones series, the Ozark Trilogy, and the Native Tongue trilogy, and various short stories. She has written several popular works on communication, focusing on how to avoid or defuse verbal conflict and attacks.
Creator of the constructed language Láadan, a women's language; first discussed in the Native Tongue Trilogy.
